Capturing wedding day celebrations as an Old Down Manor Wedding Photographer, you are immediately struck by the venue’s versatility.
One of Bristol’s leading wedding venues, and rightly so, as it excels in being an all season and all weather wedding venue.
Photographically, the gardens with their stunning unspoilt views over the Somerset landscape are unique. Lending themselves to beautiful cinematic portraits as a well as having plenty of enclosed, secret garden aspects lending itself to closer detail portraits.
The manor House, being elegant and a fine statement example of Victorian architecture – it’s exterior being a must have backdrop for a Bride & Groom portrait.
Internally – its suitably impressive. A large open aspect entrance hall, with spacious white walls and ceilings. Architectural columns, sweeping staircase and balcony. The entrance hall alone being a space that brims with photographic opportunity, whether it be portraiture or natural documentary, observational photography.
The entire interior is sleek, open and light. The perfect venue that maximises bouncing natural light around the place. A major factor in making the Manor at Old Down Estate an epic place to hold your wedding January through to December, rain or shine!
Documenting unique weddings at such stunning locations, propels us forward within our Internationally award winning work as Somerset Wedding Photographers.
We would love to hear your plans, should you be hoping to hold your wedding here. As Old Down Manor Wedding Photographers, knowing the venue and appreciating it’s potential does help in being able to deliver the very best wedding photography.
Old Down Manor was originally built in 1856. It has had some famous ties to previous owners included the daughter of whiskey distiller Jonnie Walker, along with rock musician Mike Oldfield, whose Tubular Bells proved to be one of the biggest selling records of all time! Two historical credentials that particularly appeal to us.
