Natural wedding Photography is something I am passionate about. Seeing my role as photographer, being one of capturing people being themselves and recording the day as it really was.
My extensive experience and intuitive approach to Wedding Photography enables me to stand out from the competitive wedding photography market. I love Wedding Photography and I look forward to creating for you, a visual record that encapsulates both truth and feeling.
My professional experience has seen me work in many situations and genres, but it has only been wedding photography that has delivered long-term heartfelt job satisfaction. I enjoy the wedding environment being full of positive energy along with being granted the position of responsibility in capturing it.
The joy of presenting finished work to couples brings forth all the job satisfaction I could wish for. From tears of joy to the occasional hug of thanks and gratitude – its something I love being humbled and honoured to be able to fulfil my Bride and Grooms expectations.
I envisage my work and its purpose to be able to bring you back time and again to those wedding day moments. Whether it be 5 or 50 years from now, I want each image to make you feel like it was yesterday.
Taking my inspiration from classic contemporaries such as Jeff Ascough and Neale James I love to photograph weddings in a documentary / reportage style, as it naturally flows without any undue influence.
I live near Blandford and work from my office based in Poundbury, Dorchester. I am a brother to three, and I have a son and a daughter. I’m recently married to Andrea, and we share the house with our gorgeous Rhodesian Ridgeback Maya.
Training & Experience
I have been a professional photographer for over 16 years. Having studied photography at art college, it was here that I began taking my first professional commissions from music publications such as Melody Maker, New Musical Express and Select magazine. After graduating I worked for the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall, and then turned freelance for the Fleet Street titles. It was here that I found myself undertaking commissions for the worlds largest newspaper at the time In 2006, I embarked on a new challenge and relocated to Sofia, Bulgaria. It was here I started my own news and features agency supplying specialist content to the UK market. Family commitments however drew me back to the UK at the end of 2009 where I settled in Dorset. Here I began my new venture into documentary wedding photography. Whilst some Wedding Photographers offer a photojournalism or reportage style of Documentary Wedding Photography, not all of them have the credentials to back it up. I have the background, successful track record and the invaluable experience of covering demanding assignments all over the world. I have worked in a multitude of different environments whilst keeping to tight deadlines and have consistently delivered superb Photography. “Documenting life is something I have always done – whether it is a celebrity, a politician or a couple celebrating their wedding day”. My dramatic eye-catching images have appeared on many front pages and my natural eye for detail has taken me to the top of my profession. I am a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association – the International organisation representing professional photographers skilled in the documentation of weddings in a candid, unobtrusive style.
