As a venue and location, you’ll be hard pushed to find a place offering so much freedom and potential for fun. This Sturminter Newton, Dorset Wedding venue proved to be an ideal place for Davina & Frank to celebrate their wedding with gathered family & friends.
It was our first experience as Partyfield Wedding Photographers, capturing a humanist wedding ceremony.
Having already done their official ceremony back in South Africa where they work and live, Davina & Frank were able to celebrate and mark their wedding within the relaxed festival inspired Partyfield.
Partyfield is a huge site, well equipped and spread out just like any other festival. The only difference being, this was a day orientated around a wedding.
The same big marquee for music and dining, along with pop up tents for bar areas, making the location as interesting and comfortable as you wish. Onsite accommodation consisting of converted double decker buses, horse boxes, and tree houses – quirky, rustic and conveniently festival inspired. Party in style, recharge as you go and play all weekend!
The outdoor ceremony area, a decked platform in the middle of nearby woodland, is very scenic & a great place to exchange vows. Being in a bit of a woodland dip, the surrounding overlooking mounds are great vantage points from which guests can view the ceremony.
Humanist Weddings in Dorset
The perfect natural Dorset Wedding venue, keeping you close to nature & out in the elements!
We were lucky on Davina & Franks wedding day, the weather being kind to us, with the threatening clouds staying away.
The ceremony unfolding as planned, with friends playing music, a few readings and then an exchange of vows. Personal and heartfelt, with a few tears rolling down Davina’s cheeks.
Handfasting to conclude the ceremony, with their hands being wrapped with a cord, joining them together, then released to form an infinity symbol knot, representing their oneness as a couple.
The day was a welcome breath of fresh air, quite literally.
