A couple of weeks ago I had a call out of the blue from a sweet American girl, Heather. She wanted to have a fun day out at a grand British Castle in order to get some big, dramatic portraits of herself and fiancee Ben. They originally wanted to marry in the UK, but the logistics of getting Heather’s large family over from the states started to sway things towards a U.S wedding.
Not one to lose out Heather decided that she could still get her pictures in front of a Grand British Castle and have her wedding surrounded by all her family. So a call to myself and a Sunday morning appointment at Highcliffe Castle in Christchurch, was arranged. The scene was set & now for the action!!!
This first part of the blog includes some of the images that Heather so badly wanted, ‘couple in love, big dress & BIG Castle’ – the later being in short supply in the United States.
These are the formal set of images, the relaxed and informal engagement photos will follow later in the week.

Love the shot where Ben is sat at the bottom of the steps and Heather is stood up. – Beautifully composed shot.
