Back in July I had the pleasure of being the chosen Documentary Wedding Photographer for Nicky & Shane. They were one of the first couples to approach me and ask for me to cover their wedding upon my relocating to Dorset.
I had been looking forward to this wedding for some time as I knew how important it had been for Nicky to find a good Wedding Photographer in Dorset. She had certainly done her research with everyone in the area before giving me a call and arranging our first meeting and the inclusive engagement shoot.
Nicky & Shane’s wedding ceremony was held at the All Saints Curch in Wyke Regis, Weymouth. A beautiful & ancient church built in the 15th Century. Looking back at the images from the day, I can certainly say that there were some ‘cracking’ shots that really stand out to me and really encapsulate the great day that was had by all. Inside the church, there were some ‘priceless’ moments, such as Nicky approaching the alter very nervously and then being greated by her groom with a kiss, and a few words whispered in her ear. This brought an instant warm & loving smile – it was a priviledge to see & capture.
The ceremony was very personal & touching with several friends singing some wonderfull pieces that bought a tear or two to the Bride & several of the congregation. Then we were off to Bennetts Water Gardens, for some time out and some family portraits, before arriving for the reception at the Hotel Rembrandt.
