The documentray / reportage approach is something very close to my heart as wedding photography following this style delivers so much more intimacy and understanding. Only through observation can you get a real glimpse into peoples lives and document the real story.
This is an image of the lovely flower girl, Honey – who was a story all on her own! She was quite a character on the day, sitting for the stylist to do her hair, affix a flower, only to jump from the chair take three steps and pull it all apart!
This frame captures her mother the bride to be, along with the Bridesmaids trying to make good of the situation! Looks to me to be all hands on deck and amazing how many peoples attention one little girl can command.
I love the image as there is so much going on. So many hands and eyes focussed on her.
The composition is tight, shooting from similarly low perspective as the girl and using a shallow depth of field. Emphasis is firmly put upon Honey, with her composure and staring away (as if somewhere else) adding more power to the image.
I hope you like this image and would like to think its a suitable offering being some of the Best Dorset Wedding Photography.
